Projects Accepting Interns
BIOCIS
This is a study of 1500 subjects evaluating characteristics of dementia and the mechanisms of dementia among Asians.
SINGER
This is an interventional study evaluating the role of lifestyle modifications to reduce cognitive decline and physical frailty.
Neuropsychological Research
We perform detailed evaluation of episodic memory, executive function, visuospatial function, working memory, processing speed, language using pen and paper as well as digital platforms. Behavioural paradigms are also evaluated.
Neuroimaging Research
Ongoing research looking at grey matter atrophy, white matter tracts, resting state functional MRI in Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia. We also have research projects analysing markers of cerebrovascular disease.
Biomarker Research
Ongoing research looking at novel blood-based biomarkers that allow early detection of cognitive disorders. This includes a comprehensive ELISA platform and genetic markers.
